Hello Students of Brite Divinity!

I hope that you are having a wonderful, restful summer!

Can you believe that it is already time to start thinking about the Fall semester? We have an incredible class of incoming students and a fantastic group of returning students; this should be a great year to be a scholar at Brite Divinity School.

One of the goals that the  Brite Students Association (BSA) made last Spring was to be more intentional and purposeful about how we connect as a student body. For the Fall, this starts at orientation. We have two things planned for the week of orientation and we need your help!

Our first initiative is to create “buddies” for our incoming students. We are looking for current students who are willing to be a mentor to a new student. We want to partner the incoming students with someone who can not only help them find their way around campus, but could also recommend a great movie theatre, restaurant, and touch base with them from time to time for their first semester. If you are willing to be partnered with an incoming student, please let me know via my email address below.

The second opportunity is a Brite Community Cookout, August 20 at 5:00pm at Leibrock Village. We need current students to bring their favorite side dish and come meet the incoming students. Be watching for more information. Hope to see you there!

We need your help with both of these opportunities to make them a great time to connect and bond together as a community!

Feel free to reach out to me anytime with questions, comments or ideas.
