11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Weatherly Hall

In spite of the fact that most of the Bible was originally written in Hebrew and despite the evident beauty of the Hebrew script, Hebrew is very rarely found in Christian art, and, with a few notable exceptions, most of the examples come from one period, 1450-1650.

Brite Student Association is now accepting submissions for artwork inspired by the Hebrew Bible to be displayed during the lecture. The deadline is Friday, November 13th at 5 p.m. For more information please email brt_bsg or visit https://britesa.wordpress.com.

The lecture will be from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m., we will break for lunch, and then open discussion will follow.
If you are unable to attend the entire event, please know you are welcome to attend any part of this community conversation.
Free lunch provided.
