Dear Friends,

I invite you to gather in Robert Carr Chapel at 11:00 this morning for our weekly community worship experience. This week’s service will be a “U2charist.” That is, the service will feature the music of Irish rock band U2. M.Div. senior Manda Adams will be preaching, several Brite students will be leading music, and we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. The U2charist has emerged out of Episcopal and emerging communities in recent years, and it responds to the desire for alternative, but genuine expressions of Christian worship. If you are familiar at all with U2, you know their music has explored spiritual themes for almost 3 decades, and that the band members have been involved in a number of political and social issues, advocating for justice and responding to human suffering and need.

I hope you are able to join us for worship this morning.

Lunger Assistant Professor of Worship and Spirituality
